Hahaha so I just heard this funny story about my father. Apparently way back when he had no clothing bureau. His system was something to the effect of having a laundry basket full of clean clothes, and when it was empty, he’d collect all the dirty clothes off the floor and restart.
Suddenly I do not feel quite as bad about using bookshelves because though they are not a chest of drawers they are something.

what is a bookshelf, but a wardrobe without doors?
i actually don’t believe that. i think. though i might practice that sometimes. (well a desk drawer as a laundry hamper. hey furniture is versatile right? right?)
