It’s weird. What is it, I wonder, about these random fragments in movies and music that stick out so powerfully in my memory such that I end up carrying them around with me at what seems like all times? They’re silly quotes, but I can just sort of recall them effortlessly and I feel like they hold some sort of influence over how I behave, though I couldn’t say exactly how. I don’t even know. Here are a couple that come randomly to mind.

Jeremy Piven’s character talking to John Cusack’s in the movie Serendipity
It’s not even like this is a particularly meaningful. If anything it’s… kind of stupid.
There is no right and wrong. There’s only fun and boring.
The Plague in Hackers, I forget who he was addressing.
These have lingered in my mind particularly long, though other fragments might occasionally bubble up into consciousness. I don’t know.[tags]quotes[/tags]

My problem comes up because I have a lot of quotations floating around in my head, and I never remember what movie they’re coming from.
