I don't think it's practical to start the schedule and try to be productive, though. If you're not doing anything the week before spring quarter starts, it might be possible, but I can't imagine you'd be able to do something fun for spring break and get accustomed to the schedule. The week (or even weeks) before my return to the US were marked by a lot of travel and being a tourist all of which involved being out on the town for more than 4 hours at a time. Consequently, I just wasn't really anxious to go out and find places I could fall asleep in public in China. Perhaps Spring quarter, huh?
